In his role, Smutz oversees Penn State’s credit and non-credit educational programs delivered through its twenty-four geographically based campus locations, its virtual World Campus, and the Penn Stater Conference Center. He is committed to making Penn State Continuing and Distance Education a learner-centric organization. This means giving learners, particularly adult learners, access to the educational opportunities and learning support services necessary to ensure that they successfully achieve their educational goals.
